Diatomaceous earth is extracted from diatomite, a siliceous sedimentary rock of organic and fossil origin. So it's... a fossilized phytoplankton skeleton powder. As natural as it gets!

Two types: food grade or calcined

Diatomaceous earth is available on the market in 2 versions: food grade or calcined.

The "food grade" version is simply ground diatomite. This version is safe and this is the one we sell.

The "calcined" version is the same product, but burned at 1000˚C. This version is non-food grade and toxic. So this is NOT the one we sell ;)

Specifications

Transfer to an airtight container upon receipt and store in a cool, dry place.

Our diatomaceous earth is certified as food grade by our supplier, but it is not packaged as such in our facilities. It poses no danger to the inhabitants of your home.
