Since 2018, we have been formulating botanical skincare and offering natural ingredients. Designed so that you understand what you are applying to your skin. Because we believe that understanding is a form of self-care. It's regaining control. It's making conscious choices. And that's what we offer you here: skincare, and the means to understand it.

The Founders
Audrey, Marie, and Mariane. Two anthropologists, one biologist: three slightly-too-curious brains with a slight (okay, big) penchant for resourcefulness, they started doing everything themselves: soaps, balms, shampoos, recipes, website, business, marketing... Today, the "little project" has grown quite a bit, and it is with great pride that they watch Les Mauvaises Herbes grow (like a weed).
Our shop
Our shop on St-Hubert Street is our universe, in 3D. It smells wonderful as soon as you walk through the door. There’s often an herbal tea brewing somewhere. You can sniff all the essential oils without judgment (we even encourage it), and most importantly, you can get advice from our exceptional consultants. It’s also the place to have your personalized serum made, a shop exclusive!

No robots or sterile marketing here.
Behind every package, every questionable Instagram meme, every message replied to at 9 PM on a Tuesday night… there's a real team of real people. A creative, funny, sometimes tired team, but always there to help you reclaim your skincare routine.
Our books
Les Mauvaises Herbes also means two books. À fleur de pots (homemade cosmetics) and Remue-ménage (homemade cleaning products), published by Éditions de l'Homme in 2021. Two books that have become best-sellers, and for many, the true "bibles" of DIY.
We would love to write other books one day!

Organic products, fantastic service, nothing to say, good location, warm staff, nothing was missing. Their recipe book is simply fabulous and easy to read and understand, with simple, clear, and precise steps, leading to very satisfying results. The shop is magnificent, with a very pleasant design, and most importantly, the products are truly of very good quality and good for the planet. Almost all the ingredients found in the book are available in their shop and in the store. The prices of most products are really very good.
Les Mauvaises Herbes is about taking care of yourself without anyone telling you what to think. Because we know: you're perfectly capable on your own.
