Plant-derived squalane

Ready to level up your homemade cosmetics? Olive vegetable squalane is the ideal vegan cosmetic active ingredient to infuse unparalleled emollient and moisturizing properties into your skincare, in a flash!

This active ingredient with a dry finish is as easy to use as a vegetable oil and is a sensation on the market. We incorporate it everywhere: facial serums, hair oils, creams, body and massage oils (see the Usage tab). All skin types love it, but dry and dehydrated skin will go crazy for it.

Vegetable squalane is obtained from the residues of oil from several plants (olive, amaranth, sugar cane, sugar beet, palm, rice, wheat). The environmental impact of olive being less than other crops, this source is often preferred.

Squalene is therefore a natural component of olive oil. A hydrogenation process of squalene (requiring no solvent) makes it possible to obtain squalane. Good to know: squalane is a natural component of sebum!

Fun fact: it was in the 80s that olive vegetable squalane began to be used as a replacement... for animal squalane. Good deal!

Usage

This cosmetic active ingredient is an oil phase and is used like a vegetable oil in face, eye contour, body and hair care, pure or diluted.

We always recommend doing a skin test before using the product.

To take advantage of its properties super easily, you can simply add it to...

• your face, hair and body serums
• your face and body butters
• already made facial or eye contour moisturizers (already emulsified) - caution! If you choose this option, go sparingly. The balance of an emulsion is delicate and adding too much squalane could affect its integrity.

Express uses!

✨ Apply a few drops of squalane to your face after showering, or after applying a toner, to seal in hydration.

✨ Add 2 pipettes of squalane to a spoon of your usual cream conditioner to make a nourishing mask to apply to damp hair. Leave on for at least 20 minutes and wash your hair as usual.

✨ Warm a few drops of squalane in your hands and massage the ends of your hair for an instant smoothing and anti-split ends effect.

✨ Apply a few drops of squalane directly to dry skin.
