Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a well-known natural antioxidant in the world of homemade cosmetics. An essential ingredient that:

• extends the shelf life of oils and cosmetics containing fats (balms, serums, butters, etc.)

• has recognized cosmetic properties: vitamin E strengthens skin elasticity and helps maintain its hydration

Eager for information?

There are different types of vitamin E, but the main ones are:

First type: Vitamin E used as an active ingredient in cosmetics for its skin properties, and whose concentration is measured in international units (IU). Color: colored appearance, ranging from yellow, to red, to brown.

Second type: Vitamin E used only as an antioxidant to increase the stability of a product. It is not measured in IU, but in tocopherol concentration. Color: clear.

It is now the first type of vitamin E that we offer! With a yellowish color, it is an equal parts mixture of vitamin E and soybean oil. It is used for:

• benefiting from its skin properties by adding 2 to 30% (yes, yes, that's not a mistake!) of vitamin E of the total volume/weight of a homemade cosmetic

• extending the shelf life of vegetable oils and fat-containing cosmetics by adding vitamin E at a rate of 0.5 to 1% of the total volume/weight of the recipe

Precautions
