Our balsam fir macerate (Abies balsamea) is made from young shoots hand-picked in Quebec. In addition to smelling like cotton candy and making us completely gaga, balsam fir macerate has interesting properties for the skin. It is highly appreciated in a respiratory ointment (a must in winter!), but also in muscle oil or balm.

An oil macerate, also called oleic extract, is an oil resulting from the maceration of a plant in a "carrier" vegetable oil. The maceration process allows this oil to collect and preserve the active principles of the plants. Our balsam fir macerate is made from organic Quebec sunflower oil.
