Fine rosehip oil is a favorite for scarred skin due to its incomparable healing and regenerating properties. It's loved in after-sun and winter skincare for controlling age spots, stretch marks, and scars. Rosehip oil is extracted by pressing the seeds of a variety of musk rose (either Rosa rubiginosa, Rosa canina or Rosa mosqueta). Although these shrubs are part of the same family as roses (Rosaceae), they are more closely related to wild rose. The pressed oil does not smell like rose because it is extracted from the seeds. It has more of a light hazelnut scent. It is a healing, firming and restorative oil.
