We’re sharing our six best recipes to help you get through the winter with grace (and maybe even some pleasure), without sacrificing your beautiful skin, hair, or lips…!
In Quebec (and other Nordic countries), we’re basically superheroes, let’s be honest. Seriously, you have to be tough to survive (and even enjoy) 4–5 months of freezing temperatures, ranging from -40°C to +5°C.
The weather outside is cold and, more often than not, quite dry. We have to heat our homes, which makes the indoor air even drier. The result? A whole bunch of people with dry hair, chapped lips, itchy skin, AND a vitamin D deficiency. Quite the cocktail, isn’t it? Haha! For some, the winter season is synonymous with cocooning, while for others, it means outdoor activities. In either case, it’s all about being well-prepared and taking care of yourself, especially with good recipes like the ones we’re presenting here.
Every year, spring returns, and we make it through. See? Superheroes. Nothing less. We’re hot (though cool would be more appropriate. Get it?).
So here are our little suggestions to help you get through this arid and sometimes demanding season.
P.S.: These are simple and accessible recipes, even for beginners. It’s a great indoor activity for when it’s -30°C outside!
P.P.S.: We’ve also thought about your dog! Check it out at the end!
