THE WOMEN BEHIND THE COMPANY
MARIANE
Mariane grew up in the small village of Cacouna. In 2012, she began her doctoral studies in archaeology. She is passionate about collaborative research that aims to integrate Indigenous and Western sciences to produce richer and more diverse knowledge. Her academic journey led her to discover the great richness of medicinal plants. Since then, she has been eating them (literally)! Her concern for the sustainability of the environment drives her to adopt a lifestyle more in line with her values, a blend of zero-waste practices and a vegetarian diet.
AUDREY
Originally from Sainte-Rose, a suburb of Montreal, Audrey marvels at all that nature offers. Her master's degree in anthropology and her work in archaeology, in addition to making her discover the voracity of boreal forest flies, allowed her to come into contact with various Indigenous and ancestral European knowledge. Her experiences led her to develop a strong interest in handmade items. Audrey loves to create recipes (especially mosquito repellents, ha! ha!). Her interest in medicinal plants and essential oils continues to grow: without rejecting Western medicine, she loves learning about the healing properties of plants and, above all, benefiting from them!
MARIE
After a series of moves, Marie returned to live in hera nature lover since always, she veered towards the community sector, where she worked for a few years before embarking on entrepreneurship. Passionate about finding solutions, and "unstoppable," Marie is an enthusiastic believer that she can do everything herself in all spheres of her life, which facilitates her transition to a simpler and more ecological lifestyle. A mother of two, she hopes to pass on her passion for nature and hope for the future to them.
