After a long winter, we eagerly await the spring temperatures that herald renewal. We often tend to do a big spring cleaning of our homes at the beginning of April to declutter our space. But what if we also took care of our own bodies by creating a spring cleaning routine for ourselves? After our endless hibernation, it’s time to take care of us a little to prepare our bodies for the sunshine!

To do this, we asked Élodie, our Assistant Director of Development, to share her favorite spring skincare routine with us. Seasonal changes are always strange times, and our skin often reacts strangely, whether in the fall or the spring.
Why a "spring cleaning for the body" routine?
During winter, our skin is a bit battered by the weather. In fact, cold wind and the heating in our cozy nests dry out our skin tremendously. With the drop in ambient humidity, our epidermis, the most superficial layer of our skin, dries out and ends up cracking.
But don’t panic, we have the solution to this annoying problem. We’ve prepared a simple spring body routine for you, made up of three mini-recipes to take care of yourself:
- A bath milk
- An exfoliating butter
- A body serum
Step 1: The bath milk
The first step consists of soaking in the bath to soften dead skin. Yum. Put like that, it’s not very appetizing, true, haha! But it’s the truth.
Step 2: The foaming exfoliating butter
The second step involves scrubbing your body directly in the tub with a foaming exfoliating butter to get rid of the accumulated dead skin.
This step can also be done with a loofah, making sure to rub the body from the bottom up (towards the heart). In addition to exfoliating the skin, the mechanical action will stimulate your blood circulation. A two-for-one!

Step 3: The body serum
The final step, the serum, will serve to nourish your beautiful, brand-new, soft skin! Goodbye rough skin! Always apply it right after the shower on skin that is still damp. If you are used to applying a moisturizer, apply it after the serum has penetrated your skin.
Body serum: Ho wood and wild mint
There you go. Happy molting!
